I see Joy Division shit so much on my dash and I swear someone posts “Love Will Tear Us Apart” every day, I’m just worried that Joy Division have just become a cool band to like because of their story and the cool Unknown Pleasures art and not because they are a fucking brilliant band.

Joy Divison is not a fashion meme.

I couldn’t find A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood anywhere, (None at B&N, only 4 in the country at Half Price Books. I suppose I didn’t look very hard.) so I picked up a copy of On the Road by Jack Kerouac, and that’s what I’ll be reading.

It’s the “original” scroll, the “legendary” first draft. Whatever that means, excited though.

I need an opinion as to which book I should read for my final book in AP English. I’ve narrowed it down to these three:

A Single Man - Christopher Isherwood
On the Road - Jack Kerouac
Ham On Rye - Charles Bukowski

Anyone had a particularly good experience with any of these 3?
